In collaboration with 1.618 Sustainable Luxury we were given the promt to take catalogues and newspapers and repurpose the material.

In response, I began by manipulating the paper in multiple ways to find one that I responded to most. I selected the simple rolling of each page, which created a rigid yet hollow structure. I continued with this shape and proceeded by rolling three catalogues worth of paper. The natural, unfinished wood underscored the pastel tones of the paper. The paper straws are held together solely through the pressure of the wooden frame. The full piece is a demonstration of fragility and strength.

This piece was exhibited in the Gallery S. Bensimon in the Marais district in Paris, France
