I want to create impactful spaces that utilize evidence based design and neurological research to produce places of sanctuary and growth for the user and social systems of the modern world. To me, architecture is not just about building things, but about offering places for opportunities of thoughtful exchange and interactions that drive who we are and how we experience life. When I'm not designing things, you can most likely find me trying out a new recipe or attempting to plant tomatoes on my fire escape.
Recently, I returned from a 6 week solo research trip around Brazil where I visited a variety of architectural sites and museums to further my understanding and experience of South American architecture and to develop my personal research into the idea of spaces for solitude. I am currently working on a large scale sculptural installation which is projected to be completed by early March.
